Friendship

So I was talking with my colleagues and the topic of drinks came up and I was like, I don't drink or smoke. And they were like how do I vent up or relax in general, and this comes up as a huge surprise question from a lot more.
My former company's former CTO even ended up stating that, I might end up drinking by the end of my internship, but however I didn't, and god knows how...?
And this question of how and why had always been a mystery to even myself.

Until now, and I think, I think that I have got my answer to that, and it was just so hidden in the plain eyesight but never bothered to think as such, like ever.

And that is none other than, friends, not the T.V. series F.R.I.E.N.D.S one, but literal real-life friends, which happened to be a handful of them but real ones.
It never had been the impulsive purchase of a fountain pen or automatic watches, to anything(any materialistic thing or happiness), it always had been my friends.

And this reminds me of a quote from the series, How I Met Your Mother, said by Barney Stinson,

Whatever you do in this life, it's not legendary, unless your friends are there to see it.

And man, that is so so true, word by word.

There are people and there are times when most of us take our friends for granted, literally. We had been friends for this long, what cares if I don't put any effort or anything.

And let me tell you, that's just not so true, friendships break often because they just stop treating how they used to.

But those who are still there even after all this and still talk like nothing happened, are your true friends, but I am not saying go test your friend's limits and test whether those are your true friends or not.

And the thing is it's hard to find that kind of friends and even harder to lose them.

And personally speaking, the sweet part or the surprising part of me is that, the people about whom I used to least care about when I met them or heard about, ended up being the closest of all. Like literally, I have a few close friends, and all of them, literally all of them, they were someone about whom I didn't use to care at all, like okay that person exits! Or there is a person with that name in my school, college, or office, but down the line, they ended up being the closest friends, I ever had.

How surprising is that, people you think will be your close friends, but there never end up being one.

Probably that's what life is.

And there will be a time when you will end up being apart from your friends and you will lead your own life that you are living.

But you will always end up cherishing the moments you spend with them and that always will be a memory, whether it be a few hours you spent together in a cafe or the hike or a small trip, those always will be a memorable thing.

So enjoy the time with your friends until you can, because life is too short to hold any grudges against your close friends because you might not ever meet them again!
Yeah, that's life, you never know.
